PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO FEDERAL BANKRUPTCY RULES
The United States Judicial Conference Committee has published proposed amendments to certain Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. The proposed changes affect the following Bankruptcy Rules:
Rule 2003 – Proposed changes relate to practices in conducting the meeting of creditors.
Rules 5005, 8011, 9006, and 9036 – Proposed changes relate to electronic filing and service by unrepresented individuals.
Rule 9037 – Proposed changes to clarify and conform provisions related to redacted filings and protection of minors to other Federal Rules.
The public comment period is open until February 15, 2027.
