Face Mask And Temperature Check Requirements For The Northern District of Mississippi

Tuesday, June 23, 2020

The United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi has adopted protocols to defend against the spread of COVID-19 effective immediately.  Pursuant to those protocols, in addition to current enhanced screening measures, all persons must wear a mask or other face covering when entering and leaving the courthouse and while in all common areas and courtrooms (unless instructed otherwise by the presiding judge).  All persons entering the courthouse are also subject to having their temperature taken.  Anyone whose temperature registers at 100.4℉ or higher will be denied access and not be permitted to enter the building for a period of at least 72 hours.

Notwithstanding the above, all court proceedings for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Mississippi will continue to be held by telephone or video until further notice.  Attorneys should continue to monitor notices received from the court and notify their clients accordingly.
