Training

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Mississippi became a mandatory electronic filing court as of September 1, 2007.

If you wish to file electronically in this court and already possess an Electronic Case Files (ECF) login and password from another Bankruptcy or District court, you are not required to receive additional training and should go here http://ecf.msnb.uscourts.gov/AttorneyReg to begin the ECF registration process.

If you wish to file electronically in this court and do not already possess an ECF login/password from another Bankruptcy or District court, you must complete a training requirement before a login/password can be issued to you. If you require training, complete the following steps:

Note: A CM/ECF login/password is not needed to file a Proof of Claim. For more information, visit the ePOC page.

Step 1: Review and perform the pre-training requirements

Step 2: Contact the court by email at MSNBdb_AttorneyReg@msnb.uscourts.gov and request training. Be sure to state whether you are seeking an ATTORNEY FULL ACCESS or a LIMITED ACCESS login and password.

ATTORNEY FULL ACCESS login/password is available only to attorneys admitted to practice in the Northern District of Mississippi and allows the filing of all pleadings, including but not limited to, petitions, motions, adversary proceedings. (If you wish/need to be admitted to practice in the Northern District of Mississippi, contact the District Court at (662) 234-1971).

LIMITED ACCESS login/password is available to attorneys, and non-attorney creditors and creditor representatives who need access to the ECF system to file only a limited number of document types such as reaffirmation agreements, proofs of claim and transfers of claim. (If you are an attorney seeking a Limited Access login/password, you do not have to be admitted to practice in the Northern District of Mississippi).

Step 3: Attend the training class and/or complete the training exercises as assigned. Once training is completed, go to http://ecf.msnb.uscourts.gov/AttorneyReg to complete the ECF registration process.

If you have any questions regarding training or the CM/ECF registration process, you may send them to the email address provided in Step 2 above, or you may contact the court by telephone at (662) 369-2596 and ask to speak to the "ECF Training Coordinator".
