Policy Update Regarding Electronic Devices in Courthouse

Attached below is a Standing Order Regarding Electronic Devices which was entered on August 28, 2014. The policy on electronic devices being brought into the Thad Cochran Bankruptcy Courthouse is a follows: Attorneys and their support personnel may bring electronic devices (including cell phones) into the courthouse, parties and other non-attorneys may not. When brought into the courtroom by an attorney or support personnel, cell phones must be turned off or in vibrate/silent mode. Failure to do so may result in the imposition of a $100 fine by the presiding Judge. The taking of photographs, video or audio, or externally broadcasting same by any electronic means is expressly forbidden throughout the courthouse, regardless of whether court is in session, unless prior approval has been requested and granted.
